‘Last Day on Earth,’ co-written by Matty Healy, is a preview of Beabadoobee’s new EP

Beabadoobee, like many of us, would have spent her last “normal” day wisely if she had known about the Covid-19 pandemic. On her new single “Last Day on Earth,” from her new EP Our Extended Play, she speculates on this.

The track is drenched in Nineties nostalgia, from crunchy guitar riffs to a Jeff Ament-styled hat and a Kurt Cobain poster on the wall, co-written and co-produced by the 1975’s Matty Healy and George Daniel. Bea Kristi fantasizes about getting stoned and flying paper kites with her pals on her last pre-pandemic day.

Dirty Hit will release the Extended Play this spring. It comes after Kristi’s debut album, “Fake It Flowers,” which was released last year.
