‘Running Like That,’ a new single by Loraine James, has been released along with a video.
The song is taken from James’ new album, ‘Reflection,’ which is out on Hyperdub on Friday, June 4th and features vocals by Eden Samara, a Canadian-born London-based vocalist.
The lyrics of the song, according to Samara, are about being followed by the voices in your head.
Meanwhile, the video was created by animator Rob Heppell and is believed to be inspired by American landscape artists Richard Misrach and Andrew Wyeth, who both focus on the link between humans and the landscape. The video includes James herself.
With the lead single ‘Simple Stuff,’ James first announced the release of ‘Reflection’ in March, followed by ‘Let’s Go’ last month.
James’ remix of Poisonous Birds’ “We Can Never Not Be All Of Us” was premiered by DJ Mag last month.
