Nene H’s debut album will be released next month on the Incienso label in New York.
The eight-track album ‘Ali’ was created as a homage to the Berlin-based artist’s late father, and the compositions were influenced by both Middle Eastern and Western musical traditions. As a way of representing the artist’s roots in both nations, the album includes vocals in both German and Turkish.
‘Ali’ will be released on July 16th.
Nene H’s ‘Aufprall,’ which is taken from a new compilation series by The Ruhr Museum and Essen’s Third Room Collective, was released by DJ Mag earlier this week.
