Next year, Dua Lipa will embark on her much-anticipated headline tour. Future Nostalgia, Lipa’s sophomore album, was dropped in March 2020 and quickly became one of the year’s most popular releases.
Lipa’s first headlining event at Madison Square Garden will be part of the tour, which will encompass 28 dates across the United States and Canada. Megan Thee Stallion, Caroline Polachek, and Lolo Zoua have all been enlisted as guest appearances for the trek, which she described as “the ultimate girl gang.” The tour will begin on February 9th in Miami and end on April 1st in Vancouver, celebrating the album’s two-year anniversary. Lipa’s previously postponed European tour dates are still set to begin on April 15th.
Even though the Grammy winner didn’t get to tour in promotion of the disco-tinged album, it dominated the first pandemic year. The singles “Don’t Start Now,” “Levitating,” and “Physical” were all big hits. She has now unveiled an enhanced edition of the record, and also a remixed version of the project, called “Club Future Nostalgia,” in conjunction with DJ and producer The Blessed Madonna. Lipa hosted the Studio 2054 livestream, which featured special guests Miley Cyrus, Elton John, Kylie Minogue, and others at the height of virtual concerts.
