On July 16, 2021, Nile Rodgers will open The DiscOasis, a roller-disco at the famous South Coast Botanic Garden in Los Angeles.
In addition to work with Daft Punk, Sister Sledge, and Avicii, the iconic artist’s resume includes resurrected seminal ensemble Chic (who were just confirmed for the reopening of The Warehouse Project in Manchester, UK), as well as work with Daft Punk, Sister Sledge, Avicii and many more. He is a member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and is now in charge of music curation for the open-air skate session, which will take place in Palos Verdes Hills until Labor Day, September 1st. No guest appearances have been announced as of this writing.
Ticket purchases will assist the artist’s We Are Family Foundation, a non-profit dedicated to building a worldwide family with cultural diversity at its core by supporting various projects and young people who are positively improving the world. Constellation Immersive, an organization that specializes in storytelling experiences, runs the DiscOasis.
