Peter Dinklage performed “Your Name,” a track from the actor’s forthcoming film “Cyrano,” on The Late Show with Aaron and Bryce Dessner. The film is based on a stage musical written by Dinklage’s wife Erica Schmidt and directed by Joe Wright.
The Dessner brothers composed “Your Name,” which is sung by Dinklage in the film, with lyrics by Matt Berninger and Carin Besser. A string quartet joined Dinklage and the musicians for the late-night concert.
Dinklage also spoke with host Stephen Colbert about the role and how it compares to his Game of Thrones character Tyrion.
Cyrano, starring Haley Bennett and Kelvin Harrison, Jr., will be released in theatres on December 31. The soundtrack for the film, which incorporates cast singing and Glen Hansard, as well as music from the London Symphony Orchestra and pianist Vikingur Lafsson, will be released on Dec. 10 by Decca.
