SAIL WE MUST, A DOCUMENTARY UNVEILED ON ANDREW WEATHERALL’s SECOND DEATH ANNIVERSARY

‘Fail We May, Sail We Must,’ a short video on the origins of the mantra closely associated with the late Andrew Weatherall, is now available.

Sail We Must: A Sea Story of Andrew Weatherall & An Irish Fisherman, directed by Trevor Whelan and Rua Meegan of Grizzly and produced by Dublin-based creative agency The Tenth Man, pays tribute to the much-loved DJ, producer, and acid house flag-bearer who died recently on February 17th, 2020, at the age of 56.

Weatherall’s encounter with a fisherman influenced the signature phrase he had tattooed on his arms, according to the 11-minute film, which goes from London to Ireland.

The Sugar Club in Dublin hosted the premiere of Sail We Must on February 16th, with a live discussion between Cian Ó Cíobháin, Johnny Moy, and Billy Scurry concerning Weatherall’s connection to Ireland, as well as a DJ performance from Billy Scurry.
