SNOOP DOGG SAID DR. DRE IS WRITING MUSIC FOR THE NEXT GRAND THEFT AUTO GAME

According to Snoop Dogg, Dr. Dre is working on music for the upcoming installment of the ‘Grand Theft Auto’ game series.

According to Rolling Stone, Snoop will break the news in a forthcoming episode of the ‘Rolling Stone Music Now’ podcast, which will air today (October 29th).

The game’s creator Rockstar Games, as well as any of Dre’s reps, have yet to verify Snoop’s claims, and a release date for the next installment in the long-running game series has yet to be disclosed.

‘Fuck Wit Dre Drey’ and ‘Deep Cover’ appeared in ‘Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas,’ while ‘Still D.R.E.’ and ‘The Next Episode’ appeared in ‘Grand Theft Auto V.’ Dre’s music has previously appeared on the in-game radio stations of many ‘GTA’ games. Dre’s new material would be his first since his 2015 EP “Compton.”

Dr. Dre opened a high school in Los Angeles earlier this year.

Meanwhile, the ‘GTA’ series has a long history with musicians, with Moodymann being one of several who appeared as an in-person character in the game earlier this year.
