Steam Down, a London jazz band, has had a fantastic week.
Their most recent song, ‘Empower,’ is a grounding, energising track. It marks the upcoming release of the band’s debut EP, “Five Fruit,” which will be unveiled on September 24 through Decca.
This week, Steam Down welcomed a live audience back to the South London railway arches bar where they call home for their weekly music nights.
Steam Down, which was formed in May 2017, has evolved from a group to a movement, uniting a community in the face of touring, gentrification, and threats to London’s art scenes.
