This month, DJ Narciso and Endgame will release a new joint album, ‘NXE,’ via Shanghai’s SVBKVLT.
It’s the duo’s first collaboration. The forward-thinking club sounds of the producers’ respective locales are mixed with a dark, gloomy edge over the album’s four tracks. The frantic percussion of Lisbon’s kuduro sound, popularised by the Principé label, collides with the chilly atmosphere of grime and drill, resulting in a compilation of menacing and dark dancefloor hits.
DJ Narciso is one of the Principé label’s younger members, as well as the founder of the RS (Rinchoa Stress) Produções collective with Nuno Beats, DJ Nulo, DJ Lima, and Farucox. Endgame, along with Kamixlo and Uli-K, is a co-founder of the London group Bala Club, and has previously released on labels like ‘Hyperdub,’ ‘Golden Mist,’ and ‘Planet Mu.’
‘NXE’ will be launched on February 18th.
