Kevin Morby has released the new track “Rock Bottom” from his upcoming album This Is a Photograph. “Rock Bottom,” a tribute to the late Jay Reatard, features Sam Cohen (who also produced the album) on bass, Cassandra Jenkins on backing vocals, and Tim Heidecker and Alia Shawkat on laugh tracks.
Morby is also starting a newsletter called Kevin Morby’s Fam Club on Substack to go along with the new track. It’ll be a weekly update including sketches, images, poems, essays, demos, and other materials that he usually keeps in the margins of his song writing process.
