I Care 4 U and Ultimate Aaliyah, Aaliyah’s posthumous compilation albums, are now available for listening and purchase through Blackground Records 2.0 and Empire.
I Care 4 U, which was released in December 2002, features songs from her studio albums as well as previously unheard tracks, including “Miss You,” “I Care 4 U,” and “Come Over,” which all charted in the Top 10 Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Songs. The collection debuted at No. 3 on the Billboard 200 list.
Ultimate Aaliyah was released as a posthumous box set in 2005. The first disc (songs 1-16) is a best hits compilation. The second, titled Are You Feelin’ Me? includes soundtrack music as well as Timbaland compositions.
Following the reissues of her eponymous last studio album and One In a Million, which launched in August and debuted in the Top 10 on the daily version of the Rolling Stone Top 200 Albums Chart, the compilation LPs are the final two releases in Aaliyah’s Blackground Records catalog. The music of Romeo Must Die, the film in which she made her acting debut, is now presently available on streaming services.
