Billie Eilish’s New Song, “Your Power,” is a Sobering Warning

Billie Eilish has released a new single called “Your Power” from her upcoming sophomore album, Happier Than Ever, which she revealed earlier this week. As with all of her songs, Eilish directed the video for the track, which she co-wrote and created with her brother Finneas.

She sings about power dynamics in relationships in the song, especially when one partner takes control and dominates the other. A camera slowly zooms in on Eilish, who is sitting alone on a mountain in the video. A big snake wraps itself around her whole body as she sings.

On July 30th, Happier Than Ever will be unveiled. The 16-song track list, album cover, and an excited message to her fans were all included in Eilish’s album announcement.

Her widely awaited follow-up to 2019’s When We All Fall Asleep, Where Do We Go? will include the songs “My Future” and “Therefore I Am,” which were previously released.  Both tracks were unveiled last year in place of the substantial touring she had planned in support of her 2019 album, which she had to postpone due to the coronavirus outbreak. She collaborated with Rosalía  on the song “Lo Vas a Olvidar” earlier this year, which was featured in one of two Euphoria special episodes.
