‘Bonfire Of Teenagers’ Announced By Morrissey

According to a post on Morrissey’s website, his new album, “Bonfire of Teenagers,” has been completed. The album was recorded in Los Angeles and will have 11 songs, though no release date has been set.

Last November, Morrissey parted relations with BMG, his record label. In an update on his website titled “BMG Dumps Morrissey,” the singer stated that he has been dropped by the label.

Morrissey made news earlier this year when a moody character dubbed Quilloughby from The Simpsons mocked the former Smiths singer. In the episode “Panic on the Streets of Springfield,” the character is portrayed by Benedict Cumberbatch and becomes Lisa Simpson’s imaginary buddy. “Everyone Is Horrid Except Me (And Possibly You)” was a mopey, Morrissey-esque tune included in the episode.

Morrissey will be performing at Caesar’s Palace in Las Vegas for five nights starting August 28. “There are no anti-social distancing or facial concealment rules in place” for the concerts, according to his website. I Am Not a Dog on a Chain, his most recent album, was released in 2020.
