Jay-Z Recalled DMX Bringing a “Whole Arena” to Tears During a Live Performance

Jay-Z is remembering late rapper DMX’s outstanding stage presence.

The 51-year-old hip-hop mogul opened up about being in awe — and a little intimidated — when witnessing DMX perform live on stage during the season premiere of LeBron James’ HBO series The Shop: Uninterrupted on Friday (May 28).

Jay-Z then expresses his awe at DMX’s ability to transform the crowd from furious screaming to emotional tears.

On April 9, DMX passed away from a heart attack brought on by a narcotics overdose. He was 50 years old at the time.

Bad Bunny, a Latin rapper and singer-songwriter, WNBA star Nneka Ogwumike, and marketing executive Paul Rivera were among the other guests on The Shop’s season premiere.
