KOJAQUE ANNOUNCED HIS DEBUT ALBUM ‘TOWN’S DEAD’ AS HE

The debut album by Dublin rapper Kojaque, titled ‘Town’s Dead,’ was released this week. It will be released on June 25 through [PIAS] under his own Soft Boy Records label.

Over a frenetic, mildly blissful instrumental, Kojaque muses on gentrification in Dublin, toxic masculinity, and ways to distract yourself from the draining fact of living in a capitalist society on the title track.

‘Town’s Dead’ was written in Kojaque’s bedroom and on tour buses; he began working on the album when he was just 19 years old. The outcome is a 16-track concept album about a love triangle that unfolds over the course of a New Year’s Eve celebration. Maverick Sabre and Celia Tiab contribute to the mix.

Slowthai and Lana Del Rey have both toured with Kojaque in the past. The release of ‘Town’s Dead’ follows the release of his previous single, ‘No Hands,’ in February.
