“Nakanegh Dich,” the latest track by Mdou Moctar, has been unveiled. During the recordings for Afrique Victime, the Tuareg musician and his band recorded the single in Los Angeles alongside Rob Schnapf. In a statement, bassist and producer Mikey Coltun said “This is Mdou’s very first time using a wah pedal.”
“Nakanegh Dich” is one of nine new songs on Matador’s deluxe edition of Afrique Victime, which will be released on Thursday, February 24.
This week, Moctar and the band will embark on a tour.
