Ravyn Lenae gave performances at NPR’s “Tiny Desk Concert” series. Her performance included several singles such as “Skin Tight”, “Sticky”, “Inside Out”, and “Venom.” Her complete team includes drummer Danielle “Dee” Thompson, bassist Marcus Reddick, guitarist Garrett Jones, keyboardist Harrison “Achee” Hawkins, and vocalists Phylicia Hill and Aja Grant.
The singer-songwriter recently dropped her debut album, Hypnos, following an EP Midnight Moonlight (2017) and Crush EP (2018). Her latest “Tiny Desk” edition is the first appearance at the physical tiny desk after 2020.
Her “Tiny Desk” set will also mark itself as a part of NPR’s celebration of Juneteenth and Black Music Month. The stage will also hold the performances of other artists including Adekunle Gold, Monica, FKA twigs, Denzel Curry, and others. This celebration will contain the likes of 11 “Tiny Desk” and “Tiny desk (Home)” concerts presented by Bobby Carter, a tiny desk producer.
